Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a form of therapy that has the primary goal of enabling individuals to participate in their daily living activities, help them be independent of such skills, and carry out their occupation in a better way. As a child, their ‘occupation’ is to play and learn through play! In order to help them enjoy and perform their ‘occupation’, occupational therapists create an individualized treatment plan that is specific to each child’s own needs and abilities and aim to build a strong foundation in their focus and attention, as well as tackle the underlying sensory integration issues (if any). When they have a strong foundation, they are able to learn and absorb new information much easier and faster!
